Magic

I've always believed in Magic
touching a field of wildflowers
a seed becomes whole
as the wind acquaints me
with your nostalgic, astral love
a distant cognizance, coming into view
through the keyhole, of all space and time

the velocity of gravitation
combines within us
underneath a banana tree
we invent our love potion
the stuff dreams are made of
and antidotes and anecdotes
on fascination street

So pretty! I especially like the antidotes and anecdotes line. And the fact that you have Olivia Newton-John on the playlist. You don't mind if I hang out, listen to Magic, and think of Xanadu, do you? A good friend of mine has NEVER SEEN THE MOVIE, but she will get a surprise the next time she visits. I tried to describe the plot (roller-skating Muses, an album cover designer who throws his lot in with Gene Kelly, the most incredible blending ever of 40s boogie woogie and 80s rock), but somehow it didn't seem to impress her. Crazy.

Damn, girl, you do have talent. =o)

I loved these lines: "a distant cognizance, coming into view/ through the keyhole...." Rich with imagery, this is.

I'll meet you under the 'nana tree; don't be late. :)
